Community Gardens
Policies, Procedures, and Rules
We now have 62 numbered garden plots. Residents are limited to one (1) garden plot (except as noted below).
Residents are to contact the Sales Office receptionist at (830) 895-8505 or reception@comanchetrace.com to reserve a garden plot.
If a resident requests a garden plot and all spots are reserved, they will be placed on a waiting list and contacted when an opening becomes available.
Gardeners must renew their garden plot on an annual basis. All gardeners with assigned garden plots must notify the sales office by January 31 of each year to indicate whether they want to renew their plot. Gardeners must respond by February 28 of each year. If no response is received, the plot will be released to the first resident on the waiting list.
If the waiting list is exhausted and plots are available, they will be made available to current garden plot holders on a one-year basis. After the end of the year, the additional plots will be returned to the available plot inventory.
Gardeners are required to make a $100 deposit for each plot reserved. The deposit will be returned when the gardener relinquishes the plot and returns it for use by the next gardener, i.e., by ridding it of all vegetation, roots, and other debris and turning the ground over.
